Woodring, 87, formerly of Tyrone and a resident of Preakness Healthcare Center, N. Haledon, N.J. died Friday, November 26, 2004 at the Center. She was born September 21, 1917 at Homer's Wharf, a daughter of Hayes B. and Janet (Woomer) Rutherford. Surviving are three daughters, Sherry Schwarz of Little River, S.C., Mary Lou Hartley of Clearwater, Fla., Hope E. Burns of Saddle Brook, N.J.; two sons, Chester Woodring of Danville, Robert Woodring of Palmetto, Fla.; 11 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. She was the last of her immediate family, preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers. Mrs. Woodring retired on disability as a matron for the Weehawken, N.J. school system. She was of the Protestant faith. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2004 at 1 p.m. at Feller Memorial Home with Rev. Ben Woodring officiating. Interment will follow at Seven Stars Cemetery, Franklin Twp. Friends will be received on Tuesday at the funeral home from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tyrone Daily Herald, November 29, 2004
