Miss Maggie Woods, daughter of the late William and Mary Woods, died at the residence of her brother, James Woods, 615 Eighth avenue, at 4 o'clock Monday morning, aged 41 years. Miss Woods was a native of county Longford, Ireland, but came to the United States in 1858. She remained in the city of New York for some years, and when her parents came to this country she came with them to Altoona, where she has since resided. After the death of her father, in 1879, her mother having died five years earlier, she became housekeeper for her brother James, with whom she lived until her death. On the 5th inst. she was prostrated by a severe stroke of paralysis, from which she never rallied. Altoona Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Thursday, January 20, 1887, page 3
