An Old Resident of Bald Eagle Passed Away Saturday Evening. Mrs. Anna Elizabeth Woomer, wife of Joseph Woomer, of Bald Eagle, passed away on Saturday evening at 4.30 o'clock. Mrs. Woomer has been in failing health the past two or three years. About five months ago she had a stroke of paralysis after which she became helpless and grew gradually weaker until she fell asleep on Saturday. Mrs. Woomer was among the early settlers in Bald Eagle valley. She was a daughter of the late Henry and Catherine Woomer, and was born March 28, 1839. Early in life she became a member of the Methodist Episcopal church of Bald Eagle, and since then has lived a life according to the teachings of that faith. August 19, 1858, she was united in marriage to Joseph Woomer, who with the following children survive to mourn the wife and mother's death: T. Blair, of Tyrone; Mrs. Amos Nearhoof, of Bald Eagle; Mrs. H. B. Summers, and Mrs. Sharron Daugherty, of Clearfield; Mrs. Harry White of Tyrone; Ira F. Woomer and Mrs. Harry Bryan of Vail. Three children have preceded the mother to the grave. Mrs. Woomer is also survived by one brother, Theodore of Houtzdale, and one sister, Mrs. Sarah Copenhaver, of Bald Eagle. The funeral was held on Tuesday morning at 10.30 o'clock. Services were conducted in the Methodist Church at Bald Eagle by Rev. W. F. Gilbert. Interment at Bald Eagle. Tyrone Herald, Tyrone, Pa., Thursday, September 12, 1912
