An Old Resident of the Woomer Settlement Passes Away. David Woomer died at 9 Monday night at his home in the Woomer Settlement, near Bald Eagle. Mr. Woomer had been a sufferer from Bright's disease for some time, but his death came very suddenly. He was aged about 62 years, and had lived in the neighborhood where he passed away all his life, having been a farmer by occupation. The deceased is survived by his wife, and six children who are: St. Clair Woomer and Mrs. Gertrude Nearhoof, of Vail; Lemuel A. Woomer, of Altoona; Mrs. Lomio Lewis, of Jersey Shore; and Warren and Eva B. Woomer, at home. One brother and three sisters also survive; these are Theodore Woomer, of Houtzdale, and Mrs. Elizabeth Woomer, Mrs. Sarah Copenhaver and Miss Marietta Woomer, all of the Woomer Settlement. A consistent and loyal Christian, Mr. Woomer was a member of the Bald Eagle Methodist church. The funeral will take place Thursday morning, the cortege leaving his late home at 10 o'clock for the Bald Eagle church where services will be conducted by the pastor.
