Woomer, of Box 135, Tyrone RD 3, died at her residence Wednesday at 3:30 a.m., the victim of a fire which destroyed her home. She was born July 2, 1919, at Van Scoyoc, a daughter of Amos L. and Ella Mae Howard Woomer. She never married and was a lifelong resident of the Tyrone area. She is survived by her mother, of Tyrone RD 3; six sisters and two brothers: Mrs. Marybelle Reese, Port Matilda; Mrs. Fannie Colpetzer, Tyrone; Mrs. Ivy Lytle, Stormstown; Miss Lillian Woomer, Tyrone RD 3; Mrs. Martha Camenite, Altoona; John E., Tyrone RD 3; Mrs. Peggy Hewett, Tyrone; and Clarence L., Bellwood. She was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers. She was a member of Bald Eagle Methodist Church and of the Joy Sunday School Class. She was last employed at Shirley's Diner, Port Matilda, retiring on disability in 1975, after 10 years service. Funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Bald Eagle Methodist Church, with the Rev. Jay E. Zimmerman officiating. Interment will be at Bald Eagle Cemetery. There will be no public viewing and no visitation. Arrangements are in charge of the Johnson Funeral Home. Tyrone Daily Herald, Tyrone, Pa., January 12, 1978
