Woomer died at her home, 2907 Tenth avenue yesterday morning, following an attack of influenza which four days ago caused the death of her husband, William D. Woomer. Both members of the family were stricken with the disease about ten days ago. Mrs. Woomer had recovered sufficiently on Tuesday to attend the funeral of her husband, but was stricken with pleurisy on the evening of his burial and in her weakened condition following the influenza attack, was unable to withstand the disease. She was born in Blair county, below Tyrone, fifty-three years ago and has been practically a life-long resident of this city, and a resident of the west end for nearly thirty years. She was a member of the First Brethren church. Surviving are five children: Mrs. Sarah Chambers, of Houtzdale, Mrs. George Arthurs, George and Henry, all of this city, and Della at home. Private funeral services will be held on Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, following by interment at Greenwood cemetery. Altoona Times, Altoona, Pa., Friday Morning, October 18, 1918
