Death of Jonathan Woomer After over two years' illness resulting from a paralytic stroke, Jonathan Woomer, one of Tyrone's most respected citizens, passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Harry C. Albright, on West Fifteenth street, at 12:35 o'clock yesterday morning. He was born on the Woomer homestead, in Snyder township, July 11, 1835, and died at the advanced age of 75 years and 6 months. He was a farmer by occupation and was considered a remarkably strong man until well up in years. He was united in marriage on June, 30, 1857, to Miss Elizabeth Turnbaugh, of near Bellwood. Ten children were born to bless this union, three of whom, with their mother, have preceded the husband and father to the grave. Those who survive him are: W. H. Woomer, of Tyrone; James, of Scranton; Howard S. of Patton; Mrs. H. C. Albright and Miss Amelia C. Woomer, of this place; Edwin F. Woomer, of Bradford, and Mrs. David Bryan, of Clearfield. He was a veteran of the Civil war and served in the One Hundred and Third regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry. He was a member of Post No. 172, Grand Army of the Republic, When in good health Mr. Woomer attended the First Lutheran church. Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Albright home, on West Fifteenth street, by Rev. E. M. Morgan, pastor of the First Lutheran church.
