MARY ELLEN WOOMER  
 
  Mrs. Mary Ellen Woomer, Julian, formerly of Tyrone, died Wednesday at 
8:40 p.m. at Centre County Hospital, Bellefonte, after a lengthy 
illness.
  She was born Oct. 12, 1897, at Tyrone, the daughter of Harry C. and 
Anna Smith Hall.  She was married Oct. 24, 1911, at Vail, to Robert B. 
Woomer, who died in 1954.  Surviving is a son, Merle, of Northwood.  A 
daughter is deceased.  Also surviving are four grandchildren, and the 
following half-brothers and sisters:  Mrs. Paul Dysart, Tyrone; Mrs. 
Ralph Thomas, Tyrone; Mrs. Elizabeth Troxell, Altoona; Frank and John 
Rodgers, both of Vail; a step-brother, Emanuel E. Rodgers, Tyrone.
  She was of the United Brethren faith.
  Funeral service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Johnson 
Funeral Home, in charge of the Rev. John B. Greenland.  Burial will be 
in Bald Eagle Cemetery.  Friends will be received this evening from 7 
to 9 p.m. and on Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
