Last night at nine o'clock, after an illness of about nine weeks, Mrs. Mary Jane Woomer, died at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. John Anderson, on Spring street, of some disease of the stomach and dropsy. Mrs. Woomer had made her home in Tyrone for the last fifteen or sixteen years, and was sixty-one years, five months and fifteen days old at the time of her death. She was a member of the United Brethren church, having united with that organization when but sixteen years of age, and always lived a life that was in strictest accordance with its teaching and went far toward fitting her for the other life to which she has gone. She leaves five children to mourn the loss of a kind and affectionate mother, Mrs. John Anderson and Mrs. George Miller, of this place, Mrs. Mattie Fisher, of Pittsburgh and David and William Woomer, of Greenwood Furnace. David Snyder of East Tyrone, Fisher Snyder of this place, and Thomas Snyder, of Vail, are brothers, and Mrs. Margaret Boyer, of Alexandria, a sister of deceased. The body will be taken to Olivia tomorrow at three o'clock, where service will be conducted in the church by her pastor, Rev. H. F. Shupe, after which the burial will take place in Olivia cemetery.
