GENE MCLANAHAN WORREST 

  Mrs. Gene McLanahan Worrest, a former resident of Tyrone and 
Lancaster, died on Thursday, March 18, 2004 at a retirement home in 
Frederick, Md.
  She was born in Tyrone on April 15, 1925, the daughter of William and 
Ivaloo (Gray) McLanahan.
  Gene graduated from Tyrone High School, class of 1943, and from 
Briarcliff Manor Junior College in 1945. She was employed as a medical 
secretary for several years in Lancaster.
  Gene McLanahan married Edgar Worrest from Lancaster and had two sons, 
William and Robert. She is survived by her sons, their wives; and four 
grandchildren. 
  She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Robert 
McLanahan.
  Funeral services and commital services were held in Lancaster at the 
convenience of the family.
