Sadness came on Christmas to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Garthoof, 721 Fifth avenue, in the sudden death of Mrs. Garthoof's father, W. H. Wren. Mr. and Mrs. Wren, who made their home with Mr. and Mrs. Garthoof, were visiting with a son in Lock Haven when the last great summons came on Sunday to the father. The tidings came back to Juniata to break preparations for a happy Christmas and Mr. and Mrs. Garthoof at once went to Lock Haven. We are unable to learn the cause of the death of Mr. Wren, who was about 64 years of age. He is survived by his wife and two children - Mrs. Garthoof and Arthur Wren, proprietor of the Temperance house in Lock Haven. The funeral will occur in Lock Haven today.
