ESTHER YINGLING At 10 o'clock Saturday night, Mrs. Esther Yingling, widow of Abraham Yingling, died at her home, 2019 7th avenue of diseases incident to old age. Her health began to fail her last fall and 13 weeks previous to her death she was confined to her bed. She was a patient sufferer and was resigned to the meeting of her creator. The deceased was born January 11, 1819 in Frankstown township, a daughter of John and Elizabeth Koon, among the earliest settlers of the Township. She was married March 1, 1838 to Abraham Yingling, who preceded her to the grave 17 years ago. Twelve children were born to the union and of them the following survive: James A., Mrs. Charles Lungren, Mrs. William Davis, Mrs. Christ. McGregor and Mrs. Wilson Dill of Altoona, Miss Luella E. and Della K. Yingling at home, Mrs. James Beeler of Syracuse, N.Y.; 31 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one brother George Koon of Winterset, Iowa also survives. Mrs. Yingling was a member of the First Lutheran Church and was held in loving esteem by a host of friends. Short funeral services will be held at the house at 9 o'clock. Interment will be made at Newry. Friends are requested to omit flowers. The remains may be viewed from 4 till 8 o'clock.
