No obituary found. Emmaline Yingling married first William Hetrick. No added data. William and Emmaline (Yingling) Hetrick had one child: LEO FRANCIS HETRICK Of East Freedom, died unexpectedly at 10:15 a.m. yesterday, Sept 20, 1973, at Valley View Home. he was born April 3, 1880 in East Freedom, a son of William and Emma (Yingling) Hetrick, and May 1, 1901 in Portage married Lena Kuhns, who died Aug 15, 1948. Surviving are five children, Mrs. Ruth Miller of Philipsburg, Joseph of Roaring Spring, Mrs. Margaret Yost of State College, Mrs. Betty Shaffer of Johnstown and Paul of East Freedom: 18 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and a sister Mrs. Molly Walter of East Freedom. Mr. Hetrick was a member of the East Freedom Chapel. He retired from the PRR in 1935. Friends will be received in the Barefoot Funeral Home, East Freedom, from 2:30 to 4:30 and 7 to 10 p.m. tomorrow. Altoona Mirror, 9-21-1973 MRS. LENA LEOTA HETRICK Of East Freedom died at her home Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock after an extended illness. She was born near Wilmore, April 1, 1883, a daughter of Jacob and Lucy (Stewart) Kuhns and was married to Leo Hetrick, May 1, 1901, at Portage. Mr. and Mrs. Hetrick resided in Mendota, Ill for 15 years prior to making their residence in East Freedom. Surviving are her husband, these sons and daughters: Paul at home, Joseph of Roaring Spring, Mrs. Betty Shaffer and Mrs. Margaret Yost, both of East Freedom and Mrs. Ruth Miller of Philipsburg; nine grandchildren, one brother, John H. Kuhns of East Freedom and one sister Mrs. Margaret Reed of Roaring Spring. Three sons preceded her in death. Mrs. Hetrick was educated in the Johnstown schools and was a member of the Lutheran church of East Freedom. Friends will be received at the home after 7 o'clock this evening. Altoona Mirror, 8-15-1948 Emmaline married second William C. Ernest. WILLIAM C. ERNEST, a resident of Greenfield township, died at his home in Claysburg on Thursday evening death following a stroke of paralysis suffered three weeks ago. He was born in Freedom township Nov. 18, 1858, a son of Samuel and Mrs. Catherine Ernest, both deceased. He was united in marriage with Miss Emma Yingling, who died twenty-seven ago Thursday. His son John with the first man from Blair county to loss his life on the battlefield in the World War. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Brady B. Walter and Mrs. H. J. Dodson of East Freedom and one son, William Ernest Jr. and a step-son L. F. Hetrick, both of Claysburg. Two brothers, Daniel of Freedom township and I. C. Ernest of this city, also surviving. He was a member of the road supervisors and put into service the first bus line in Blair county, established the Claysburg bottling works, which he later sold, and was one of the leading persons asking that Claysburg be incorporated. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church at Newry, where the funeral will be held at 10 o'clock, Monday morning, the cortege leaving the home in Claysburg at 9 o'clock. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Woman, 91, Dies At Garvey Manor Mrs. Mary A. Walter, 91, formerly of East Freedom, died at 12:15 p.m. yesterday, Aug. 6, 1974, at Garvey Manor, after an extended illness. Mrs. Walter was born Feb. 18, 1883, in East Freedom Twp., a daughter of William and Emma (Yingling) Ernst, and married Brady Walter on Oct. 25, 1905, in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Newry. Mr. Walter died in March 1952. Surviving are a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Walter, known as Mollie, was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society, Newry, and Catholic Daughters, Ladies of the Allegheny Chapter, Hollidaysburg. Friends will be received in the Haller Funeral Home, Hollidaysburg, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow. Altoona Mirror, 8-7-1974 Brady B. Walter, 68, of East Freedom, who served as a justice of the peace for 26 years and for three terms as mercantile appraiser in the county, died at 8 o'clock last evening at his home after having been ill for the past nine years. Mr. Walter was a former employe of the Pennsylvania Railroad company, having retired in May 1945, because of ill health from the office of the supervisor of expenditures, Altoona works. He was born in Claysburg May 16, 1883, a son of Austin and Juniata (Black) Walter and on Oct 25, 1905, was married to Miss Mary Ann Earnest in St. Patrick's church, Newry by Rev. Father M. J. Canole. Mr. Walter was a member of the Claysburg Lutheran church. Surviving are his wife, one sister, Miss Flora B. Walter of Altoona and a niece, Mrs. D. E. Wissinger of York. HEVERLY Of East Freedom died yesterday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at the Blair County hospital of convulsions. She had been ill for the past nine months. She was born Sept 9, 1885 and is survived by her husband, George Heverly and two children, Ruth V. and William Elroy; also by her father W. C. Ernest and these brothers and sisters: W. E. Ernest jr., Leroy H., Mrs. Brady Walter and Mrs. Harry Dodson of East Freedom. She was a member of St. Patrick's catholic church, Newry. The funeral will be held Monday morning at 10 o'clock from St. Patrick's church, Newry and interment will be made in the church cemetery. Altoona Mirror, 3-11-1922 husband: George H. She was born at East Freedom on May 27, 1886, a daughter of William and Emma (Yingling) Ernest, and in February 1933 (sic) in St. Patrick's Catholic church, Newry married Harry Dodson, who died Jan 29, 1953. Surviving are nine children; Roy of Claysburg, Mrs. Dora Berkheimer of Newry, Alice and Harry at home, Mrs. Kathleen Sharp of Washington DC, Mrs. Irene Lilly of Altoona, Mrs. Freda Hopkins of Los Angeles, Calif., John of Roaring Spring and Mrs. Norma Bond of Falls Church VA; 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren and a brother and sister, Mrs. Mary Walters of Garvey Manor and Lee Hetrick of East Freedom. Mrs. Dodson was a member of St. Patrick Catholic church, Newry and the Altar and Rosary Society. Barefoot Funeral Home, East Freedom. Altoona Mirror, 8-8-1969 Harry James Dodson, a retired carpenter, died at his home at East Freedom, this morning at 6:45 o'clock following a heart attack. He was born in Freedom township Jan 3, 1880, a son of Jacob L. and Hannah (Ickes) Dodson and married Miss Sarah Ernest of East Freedom in 1905. Prior to retirement Mr. Dodson was employed by the E. H. and B. Claar Contracting company. Surviving are his wife and the following children: Thomas of Altoona, listed as missing in action in Korea since 1951, Mrs. Roy Berkheimer of Newry, Mrs. Irene Lilly of Altoona, Miss Norma Dodson and Mrs. Kathleen Sharp of Washington D.C., Mrs. Freda Palmer of Los Angeles, Calif., Roy of Claysburg, John of Roaring Spring and Alice, Harry M. and Donald, at home. One son Clyde preceded his father in death. One sister, Mrs. Ella Weyandt and one brother, Alex Dodson, both of Claysburg, and 15 grandchildren also survive. WILLIAM (BUNKER) ERNEST Of 700 Main St. Roaring Spring, died at 9:35 p.m. yesterday at his home after an extended illness. He was born at East Freedom Jan. 17, 1890, a son of William and Emma (Yingling) Ernest, and married Bertha Mae Black at East Freedom, Nov 4, 1921. Surviving are his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Bernadine Brumbaugh of Roaring Spring RD and Mrs. Janet Bender of East Freedom; three grandchildren and three sisters, Mrs. Lee Hetrck [sic], Mrs. Mary Walter and Mrs. Sarah Dodson of East Freedom. ERNEST Mrs. Ernest, 86, of East Freedom died at 7:45 am Sunday Oct 18, 1981, in Morrisons Cove Home, Martinsburg. She was born Jan 14, 1895, in Claysburg, the daughter of Harry and Emma (Walters) Black, and Nov. 4, 1921, in East Freedom, married William I. Ernest, who died Nov 12, 1963. Surviving are two daughters: Mrs. Bernadine Brumbaugh of James Creek Rd and Mrs. Janet Bender of East Freedom; three grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. Also surviving are two sisters and a brother: Mrs. Bessie Dively of Algiers, Mich., and Harry and Mrs. Orlean Dively of Claysburg. Mrs. Ernest was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, East Freedom, and Ladies Aide Society of the church. Friends will be received from 3 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm today in the J. Gary Thompson Funeral Home, Roaring Spring. ERNEST - Services for Bertha M. Ernest of East Freedom will be held at 2 pm Tuesday in the J. Gary Thompson Funeral Home, Roaring Spring, by the Rev.
