He was born on August 15, 1982 in Huntingdon, the son of William Yingling and Verna Rightnour Markel. He is survived by his father William and step-mother, Christl Thom Yingling of James Creek, PA; his mother Verna Rightnour Markel, wife of Ronald A. Markel Jr. of Eden Hill; one sister, Alysha Yingling of James Creek; a step brother Logan Gallagher of James Creek; a step brother Matthew Markel of Grazierville; his paternal grandfather David Yingling and wife Diana of Hesston; his paternal grandmother Carol Steel and companion Tony Pollicino of Mapleton Depot; his maternal grandfather Galer Rightnour Jr. of McConnellstown; his maternal grandmother Patricia Hess of Huntingdon; his maternal great grandfather Plummer Bilger and wife Mabel of Alexandria; his paternal great grandmother Edna Smith of Mount Union; his paternal step grandparents Ronald Sr. and Marjorie Markel of Tyrone; and his step grandparents William and Linda Thom of James Creek. Also surviving are a number of aunts, uncles and cousins who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by a brother Devin in 2001, an uncle Tim Rightnour and his maternal great grandmother Roxie Hammers of Huntingdon. He was a graduate of Tyrone Area High School Class of 2000. He had been on the Tyrone Area High School Wrestling Team and had played Youth Football in Bellwood. He was last employed by Sanitary Maintenance of Pleasant Gap as an equipment operator and had previously been employed by Penn Lines of Altoona. Joshua loved fishing, hunting, snow boarding, his four wheeler and dirt bikes. He belonged to the local chapter of Bassmasters and attended the Grazierville United Methodist Church. Funeral service for Mr. Yingling will be held Tuesday, May 18, 2004 at 11 a.m. at the Grazierville United Methodist Church with Pastor Jay Jones officiating. Interment will be made in Charlottsville Cemetery. Friends will be received at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home Inc. on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tyrone Daily Herald, May 17, 2004
