Yingling of East Freedom Dies as Result of Fall During September. Peter A. Yingling of East Freedom, a well known huckster, who retired from active business about a year ago, died this morning at 12.30 o'clock when he fell from a ladder at his home while engaged in picking apples. Mr. Yingling was known to many of the grocers and business men of this city, having been engaged in bringing produce to this city from Blair and Bedford counties for the past forty-five years. Yingling was born in Greenfield township, Aug. 8, 1839, and was aged 77 years, 3 months and 3 days. He was married Oct. 6, 1870, to Miss Mary Jane Weyandt by Rev. Father Bradley, rector of St. Patrick's Catholic church at Newry. Following his marriage he lived for a period of four years at Claysburg after which he took up his residence in East Freedom where he has lived ever since. Besides his wife he is survived by two children, Mrs. William Ott and John J. Yingling of East Freedom, seven grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters: George Yingling of Colorado, Henry of Juniata township, Mrs. Frank Glass of Greenfield township, Mrs. John Thompson of Derry and Mrs. Agnes Hazenstab of East Freedom. Yingling was a life-long member of St. Patrick's church of Newry. The funeral services will be held Monday morning, the cortege leaving the home at 9 o'clock. Mass will be said in St. Patrick's church at 10 o'clock after which interment will be made in the church cemetery. Altoona Mirror, Saturday, 11 November 1916, p. 14, col. 2
