At 4:30 Wednesday afternoon Matilda Jane, wife of Henry Yon, died at her home west of Duncansville, of a complication of diseases, after an illness of three weeks. Mrs. Yon was a daughter of Frederick Yingling and was born in Blair county, August 18, 1846, being aged at death 70 years, 5 months and 26 days. On December 12, 1867, she was united in marriage to Henry Yon. After their marriage they moved to Duncansville, which had since been their home. Besides her husband, she is survived by one son, Lloyd, of South Altoona; a daughter, Mrs. Boyd Piper, of Altoona, a brother, John Yingling, of Duncansville, eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mrs. Yon was a member of the Duncansville Lutheran church for a long time and also belonged to the Ladies' Circle of the G.A.R. The funeral service will be held at the Duncansville Lutheran church Saturday morning at 10 o'clock. Interment in Carson Valley cemetery.
