WILLIAM HENRY YON

  Aged 76, of Juniata Gap, died at 8:15 A.M. Saturday in the Altoona 
hospital where he had been a patient since April 4. His wife, Mrs. 
Matilda (Yingling) Yon, died last Aug. 27.
  Mr. Yon was born at Allegheny Furnace Dec. 19, 1880, a son of Lloyd 
and Mary (Reed) Yon, and retired from the South Altoona foundry Aug. 
14, 1946. He and Mrs. Yon celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary in 
February of last year.
  He leaves five children, Mrs. Dorothy Helsel and Paul H. of Juniata 
Gap, Mrs. Olive O. Wilt of Newburg, Mrs. Velma W. Snyder and W. Gordon 
of the city; 18 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and one brother, 
Blair of Seattle, Wash.
  Mr. Yon was a member of Fourth Street Church of God.
  Friends are being received at the Mauk and Yates funeral home.
