W. H. YON OF JUNIATA GAP DIES IN HOSPITAL

  William Henry Yon, 76, of Juniata gap, died at 8.15 o'clock this morning in 
the Altoona hospital where he had been a patient since April 4.  His wife, Mrs. 
Matilda (Yingling) Yon, died last Aug. 27.
  Mr. Yon was born at Allegheny Furnace Dec. 19, 1880, a son of Lloyd and Mary 
(Reed) Yon, and retired from the South Altoona foundry Aug. 14, 1946.  He and 
Mrs. Yon celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary in February of last year.
  Surviving are five children, Mrs. Dorothy Helsel and Paul H. of Juniata gap, 
Mrs. Olive O. Wilt of Newburg, Mrs. Velma W. Snyder and W. Gordon of the city; 
28 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one brother, Blair of Seattle, 
Wash.
  Mr. Yon was a member of Fourth Street Church of God.
