Young, a life-long resident of Altoona, died suddenly yesterday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Annie Vorhees, of Titusville, according to a telegram received yesterday afternoon by his son Blair Young, of 428 Third avenue. Mr. Young had made his home in the East End hotel in this city and went to Titusville to visit his daughter several weeks ago. He was born in Adams county sixty-nine years ago and had resided in Altoona practically all his life. He was a carpenter by trade. In addition to the daughter at whose home he died, he is survived by the following children: Blair Young, Earl, Miss Naomi and Mrs. Edna Neff, all of this city. The remains will be brought here today and the funeral will be held at a time to be announced later. Mr. Young was a member of the Church of the Brethren. Young, who died on Tuesday morning at Titusville, Pa., will be brought to Altoona this afternoon, accompanied by the son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Vorhees and will be taken to the home of Blair Young, 428 Third avenue, from where the funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon, with interment in Rose Hill cemetery. Young, who died at his home in Titusville, arrived in this city yesterday at 3:56, and were taken to the home of his son, 428 Third avenue, where the funeral will be held this afternoon at 2:30.
