JOHN S. YOUNG

  John S. Young, of Oak Grove, died Saturday morning at 2:35 o'clock at the 
Altoona hospital.
  He was born in Castlebert, Ireland, April 4, 1876, the son of Michael and 
Jane (Sanderson) Young.
  Members of the family include his son, Joseph, at home; one granddaughter, 
Dorothy Regina Beyer, at home; two sisters, Mrs. Herbert Marquette of 
Philadelphia and Mrs. Mary Ann Speer of Ireland, and one brother, Frank 
Young of Altoona.
  Mr. Young was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal church and was retired 
from the Pennsylvania Railroad E. and M. shop in 1940.  His wife, Sophia, 
died October 13, 1940.
  Friends are being received at the Mauk and Yates funeral home.

YOUNG - Funeral services for John S. Young, of Oak Grove, who died at the 
Altoona hospital Saturday morning at 2:35 o'clock will be held this 
afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at eh Mauk and Yates funeral home in charge of 
Rev. M. S. Bitner.  Interment in Grandview cemetery.  Friends are being 
received at the Mauk and Yates funeral home.
