All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _______________________________________________ BRAKEMAN KILLED Charles Youngman, a Pennsylvania railroad brakeman was instantly killed at 5 o'clock last evening on the East Hollidaysburg freight yards. He was riding a draft of cars down over the "hump" after being weighed, and while applying the brakes, the chain broke, throwing him off the car to the rail below. His chest and right arm were crushed and death was instantaneous. The remains were removed to T. B. McFarland's morgue. Mr. Youngman was 28 years of age. He leaves a wife and one child. The deceased was a member of the First Presbyterian church of Huntingdon and was a highly exemplary young man. The funeral services will be held at his late home, on First street, Hollidaysburg, tomorrow morning at 9:30 o'clock, and the remains will be taken on the 11 o'clock train to Huntingdon, where interment will be made.
