He and his family resided in Tyrone from 1916 until moving to Los Angeles in August of 1945. The Yukelsons while in Tyrone resided at 303 Waring st. He was born in Minsk, Russia, Nov. 7, 1889, and emigrated to the United States in 1911. He married Rose Lesikin, Nov. 11, 1916 at Brooklyn, N.Y. and they moved to Tyrone. He was engaged in the produce business here for 28 years. In Los Angeles he was employed by several supermarkets as a produce supervisor prior to retirement in 1960. Surviving are the widow and five sons, Bernard, of North Hollywood, Calif.; Harry (Archie) of Alhambra Calif.; Joseph, of Beverly Hills, Calif.; Albert of Tarzana, Calif.; and Sidney, of Van Nuys, Calif., also 12 grandchildren. He was of the Orthodox Jewish faith. Funeral service and interment were held Sunday, Jan. 6 at Home of Peace Cemetery, Los Angeles. Tyrone Daily Herald, Tyrone, Pa., January 14, 1974
