Zang, 103, of 2 West 11th Street, Tyrone, died Thursday, February 13, 2003 at 5:45 p.m. at Epworth Manor. She was born January 25, 1900 in Messina, Sicily, Italy, a daughter of Giuseppe and Catarina (Cicero) Mazzeo. On October 14, 1922 in Vigliatore, Sicily, she married Antonio Zang. He passed away on March 4, 1974. Surviving are two sons, Joseph A. of Tyrone and Eugene E. of Centreville, Va., five grandchildren, five great grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren. She was the last in her immediate family. She was preceded in death by a son Cosmo and seven sisters and a brother. Mrs. Zang was a member of St. Mathew Catholic Church. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, flowers and going to the Blair Senior Citizens Center in Tyrone. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, February 19, 2003 at 11 a.m. at St. Matthew's Church with Father Joseph T. Orr, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and from 7-9 p.m. at the Feller Memorial Home where wake services will be held at 8:30 p.m. Memorial gifts may be made to the St. Matthew Restoration Fund, 406 W. 11th Street, Tyrone, Pa. 16686.
