Mr. Zeilinger was born in Bavaria, Germany, Dec. 17, 1823, and he was therefore 69 years, 5 months and 18 days old at the time of his death. He was united in marriage to Miss Regina Kemmler. They came to this country in 1849. The result of their union was nine children, five daughters and four sons, of whom the widow, one son and four daughters still survive, Mrs. Mary Kidd, of Huntingdon; Mrs. Lizzie Goodman, of Water Street; Mrs. Regina Schirm and Miss Rosie Zeilinger, of Tyrone; and Leonard Zeilinger, of Greensburg, near Tyrone. The deceased united with the Lutheran church in Germany when but 14 years of age, and after coming to this country, he joined the Lutheran church at Water Street. He had been troubled with heart disease for the past three years, but had only been confined to his bed for about one week immediately before his death. The funeral cortege will leave the house at 6.45 a.m. on Wednesday morning for the railroad station to take the train for Water Street for interment. There will, however, be a short service conducted by the Rev. F. L. Bergstresser at the house before leaving. Tyrone Daily Herald, Tyrone, Pa., June 6, 1893
