All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ PHILIP ZONG At the Nason hospital, Roaring Spring, Philip Zong, aged 49, died yesterday morning of injuries received the day previous at the Standard Refractories company's plant at Claysburg. Mr. Zong, who was a machinist employed at the plant, was working on improvements to one of the buildings. He was on a high scaffold and somehow his hold slipped and he fell to the frozen earth beneath, sustaining a broken leg, broken ribs and a broken shoulder, besides internal injuries. He was taken to the Roaring Spring hospital, where he was made as comfortable as possible until death came. He is survived by his wife. Funeral services will be held at his late home on Sunday evening and the body will be taken away on Monday morning for interment.
