The Rate of Mortality in 1893 Much Smaller than in 1892. The number of deaths which occurred in Tyrone during the year 1893 was sixty-five, a remarkably small mortality for a town of this size. During the previous year there were 104 deaths in Tyrone, and in 1891 the number was 106, the highest number ever reached in the town. Jan. 11 - Mrs. Hannah Copelin, of liver and stomach troubles, aged 65 years and 8 months. Jan. 12 - George Burns, of kidney trouble aged 70 years. Jan. 13 - Mrs. Lavina M. Jones, of nervous rheumatism, aged 55 years. Jan. 16 - Frank, son of Rev. A. J. Bean and wife, of diphtheria, aged 2 years 9 months and 13 days. Jan. 21 - Percy, son of A. G. Burford and wife, of membraneous croup, aged 2 years and 9 months. Jan. 29 - Ruth Amelia, daughter of Reuben F. and Catharine Burley, of pleuro-pneumonia, aged 18 months. Feb. 1 - Harry G. Neff, son of T. Calvin Neff and wife, killed on the railroad, aged 15 years, 10 months and 1 day. Feb. 8 - Marshall Cox, of consumption, aged 45 years, 3 months and 28 days. Feb. 8 - Harry, son of Harry and Annie Gunsaulus, of catarrhal fever, aged 5 months. Feb. 14 - Mrs. Margaret Sneeringer, of pneumonia, aged 71 years and 1 month. Feb. 19 - Albert Franklin, son of W. M. and Mary M. Wright, of inflammation of the lungs, aged 10 months. Feb. 20 - James M., son of Mrs. Charles Griffin, aged 6 months and 18 days. Mar. 4 - Infant son of Warren Waite and wife, aged two weeks. Mar. 21 - Rev. James G. Austin, of old age, aged 82 years. Mar. 27 - Mrs. Joseph H. Ammerman, of dropsy, aged 63 years, 11 months and 18 days. April 1 - Hannah Mary, daughter of Edward and Emma M. Wesner, of tuberculosis, aged 1 year, 1 month and 8 days. April 4 - Infant daughter of Peter Rainelli and wife. April 10 - Patrick Meehan, of complication of diseases. April 14 - Twin sons of Robert Pattison and wife, aged 16 days. April 17 - Mrs. Catharine Hardy, of dropsy and heart disease, aged 52 years, 3 months and 23 days. Apr. 21 - Peter Wilt, of consumption, aged 36 years, 5 months and 7 days. April 22 - Mary Margaret, daughter of Herbert L. and Irene Cheney, of measles, aged 1 year, 9 months and 18 days. May 10 - Emma May, wife of Edward Wesner, of consumption, aged 24 years. May 13 - Daniel Lambright, of paralysis, aged 81 years, 6 months and 25 days. May 25 - Ralph, son of E. H. and Annie Kohr, of nervous trouble, aged 3 years, 1 month and 9 days. May 30 - William Heverly, killed in Main's circus train wreck, aged 29 years, 1 month and 28 days. June 1 - Robert M. Gates, killed while working at the wreck, aged 28 years. June 4 - Lavinia Belle, daughter of W. H. and Josephina Daughenbaugh, of tumor on the brain, aged 18 years, 9 months and 14 days. June 5 - John Zeilinger, of heart disease, aged 69 years, 5 months and 18 days. June 11 - Mrs. Jane Andrews, of old age, aged 82 years, 10 months and 15 days. June 27 - Mrs. Elizabeth Burley, of old age, aged 93 years, 5 months and 23 days. July 1 - Mrs. Anastasia Cushen, of old age, aged 82 years. July 18 - Jesse N., son of George S. and Matilda Isenberg, aged 1 year and 16 days. July 26 - Infant child of Rev. E. U. Hoenshel and wife. July 27 - Mrs. Margaret P. Reed, of paralysis, aged 78 years, 7 months and 6 days. Aug 2 - Ralph, son of William J. and Juniata McKelvey, of cholera infantum, aged 6 months and 15 days. Aug. 6 - Mabel Verl, daughter of George and Mede Heidler, of cholera infantum, aged 1 year, 7 months and 21 days. Aug. 7 - Edna Blanche, daughter of Lawson L. and Elizabeth Clites, of diphtheria, aged 3 years and 19 days. Aug. 10 - Clifford B., son of Vincent B. and Minnie T. Snedeker, of cholera infantum, aged 1 year and 2 months. Aug 21 - Mrs. Sarah J., wife of David A. Smith, of inflammation of the bowels, aged 52 years and 14 days. Aug. 28 - Infant daughter of C. S. W. and Mary A. Jones, of cholera infantum, aged 24 days. Aug. 28 - Frank Wood, son of William P. and Salome Spyker, of cholera infantum. Aug. 29 - Lawrence B. Cox, of typhoid malaria, aged 52 years, 3 months and 26 days. Sept. 2 - Walter R., son of Frank and Fannie Woodring, of decline, aged 1 year, 4 months and 5 days. Sept. 8 - Savannah Weaver, of inflammatory rheumatism, aged 16 years and 3 months. Sept. 11 - Gen. R. A. McCoy, suicide, aged 58 years, 3 months and 4 days. Sept. 17 - Mrs. Mary A. Calderwood, of paralysis, aged 78 years, 7 months and 29 days. Sept. 17 - Son of Walter and Bertha Bower, aged 15 days. Oct. 2 - Miss Callie Miller, of paralysis, aged 24 years, 10 months and 18 days. Oct. 19 - William Arthur Kaup, of typhoid fever, aged 24 years, 9 months and 24 days. Nov. 16 - James Cornelius, of complication of diseases, aged 58 years, 7 months and 9 days. Nov. 19 - Mrs. Sarah Catherine, wife of H. C. Kling, of typhoid pneumonia, aged 49 years, 10 months and 17 days. Dec. 1 - James McGovern, of pleural pneumonia, aged 70 years, 10 months and 10 days. Dec. 3 - Charles Wesley, son of Rev. R. H. and Julia A Gilbert, of spinal meningitis, aged 4 years, 11 months and 25 days. Dec. 7 - John H. Miller, of heart failure, aged 64 years, 4 months and 26 days.
