Last evening the Lutheran church of Hollidaysburg was the scene of one of the most brilliant society events of the season, when Rev. J. F. Seebach, pastor of the church, performed the nuptial rites of Miss Mary Maude Turner and Clarence Robert Adams, two of the county capital's leading young people. The church was beautifully decorated with flowers and palms and one hundred guests attended. At 7.45 the bride and her attendants, Miss Mary Buoymaster and William Hauth, entered the main aisle of the church to the strains of Mendelssohn's wedding march. The bridal party was met at the altar by the bridegroom, and the minister, Rev. Seebach using the beautiful ring ceremony, impressively pronounced the words which joined these two young people in the holy bonds of wedlock. Following the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Adams went to their newly furnished home where a reception was held. The bride for some years was a clerk in G. W. Williams' store and is a most accomplished and attractive young woman. Mr. Adams has for some time been an organizer for the Y.M.C.A. and is well and popularly known. Last night the newlyweds left for Lancaster, where they will spend their honeymoon at the home of the bridegroom's parents. Altoona Times, Altoona, Pa., Thursday Morning, November 28, 1918
