ALEXANDER - WHITEN.

  At 8 o'clock last evening, at the First Presbyterian church, Mr. 
Eugene Alexander of this city and Miss Frances Edna Whiten, daughter of 
Rev. S. T. Whiten, pastor of the African Methodist Episcopal Zion 
church at Bedford, were married.  It was a very quiet affair.  The 
officiating minister was the Rev. H. L. Bowlby, pastor of the church, 
and the ring ceremony was used.  The happy young couple will reside at 
2006 Union avenue.
