Quite a pretty event of Wednesday evening unheralded on the programme of the musical tournament [band contest in Tyrone], was the marriage at 8 o'clock of Miss Blanche M. Zimmerman, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James A. Zimmerman, and Mr. Matthew Lawson Allison. The ceremony was performed in the presence only of the immediate members of the family of the high contracting parties by Rev. W. Maslin Frysinger, D.D., pastor of the First Methodist Episcopal church, at the home of the bride's parents, 1202 Cameron avenue in this city. The ceremony was followed by a reception and supper. Mr. and Mrs. Allison departed the same evening on 11.02 eastern express for a bridal tour, their destination being the eastern shore cities and Washington, D.C. On their return they will stop at Mifflintown, Juniata county, where they will be tendered a reception at the home of the groom's mother, Mrs. Ellen E. Allison. They expect to be absent about two weeks and upon their return to Tyrone, will, for the present, be at home with the bride's parents, 1202 Cameron avenue. The bride is one of the Central City's most accomplished and charming young women, well fitted in every respect to perform the duties of her new station in life. The groom is the eldest son of the late William M. Allison, of Mifflintown, and has been engaged in the job printing business in this town for some years and is a very exemplary young man. The Tribune joins with the many friends of the happily united in wishing all the pleasant felicities of the occasion and for time to come. Morning Tribune, Friday, June 30, 1899
