MATRIMONIAL ALLIANCES.

  Mr. Robert Arble, a well known young resident of Altoona, and Miss Jessie 
Mathias, of Scranton, were wedded on July 15 at the bride's home.  They 
returned to Altoona on Tuesday from a wedding trip spent at Atlantic City.  
They will reside at the home of the groom on Union avenue.

SERENADED LAST NIGHT.

  Mr. Robert Arble, a machinist in the employ of the railroad company, and Miss 
Jessie Mathias, of Scranton, were married on July 15.  After a trip to Atlantic 
City, they returned to the home of the groom, in this city, at 1920 Union 
avenue.  His shopmates last night tendered him and his newly made bride a 
serenade, in which the Altoona band participated, rendering several 
characteristic selections.  Mr. Arble passed the cigars and took the crowd to 
the Hotel Franklin, where he further furnished the good things of life.
