All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _______________________________________________ BAIRD - STERN Samuel Edward Baird and Miss Naomi Helen Stern were united in marriage last evening at 8 o'clock at the home of the bride's parents. Rev. J. Emory Weeks, pastor of the Simpson Methodist Episcopal church officiated, the beautiful ring ceremony being used. The house was tastefully decorated in a color scheme of white and pink. The was also a profusion of palms. Miss Jeannette Stern, a sister of the bride played the Mendelssohn wedding march and to its strains the bride and the bridesmaid, Miss Elizabeth Benny of Juniata, entered the parlor and took their place before a bank of palms and flowers where they were met by the bridegroom and the groomsman, Charles Bair, a brother of the bridegroom. The bride wore a beautiful gown of white crepe de chine and carried a bouquet of Bride's roses, the bridesmaid was dressed in pink and carried pink roses. After the ceremony an elaborate dinner was served, covers being laid for twenty-five guests. Mrs. Baird is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. Y. Stern of 2104 Fifth avenue and is a talented vocalist, an accomplished and attractive young lady. The bridegroom is a well known young plumber, employed by Elway and Chamberlain, is a son of Mr. and Mrs. T. N. Baird of 2218 Eighth street, and is well known as an excellent musician, having played with a number of different orchestras of the city.
