REGIS BALL [photo] Local Couple Are Married In Cathedral In a lovely double-ring ceremony in the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament on Saturday, June 12, at 10 o'clock Mary Winifred Graupensperger, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Graupensperger of 1507 Eighteenth avenue, and Regis W. Ball, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter E. Ball of 525 Third avenue were united in marriage by the Rev. Father I. J. Denny. The bride, given in marriage by her father, was charming in a gown of ivory satin with a sweetheart neckline edged with tiny seed pearls and chantilly lace, fitted bodice, long fitted sleeves which tapered at the wrist and a full skirt with insets of chantilly lace in the long train. Her fingertip veil of illusion and chantilly lace fell from a tiara of seed pearls. She carried a white prayerbook showered with white rose buds and streamers of white satin and sweet peas. The bride was attended by her sister, Dorothy, attired in a gown of light blue sheer and a matching shoulder-length veil falling from a braided tiara of net. The bridesmaid carried a nosegay of red rose buds and feverfew. The bridegroom's best man was his twin brother, Robert F. Ball. The mother of the bridegroom selected white print with white accessories and a corsage of red rose buds. The bride's mother chose light blue print with black accessories and a corsage of pink rose buds. The bride's grandmother, Mrs. Winifred Bender, was attired in a dress of light blue with black accessories and a corsage of pink rose buds. Robert B. Graupensperger, brother of the bride, and Joseph H. Stephens served as ushers. The wedding breakfast was served in the Lincoln room of the Penn Alto hotel immediately following the ceremony, and a reception was held in the evening at the home of the bride. The couple left for a honeymoon in Atlantic city. The bride is a graduate of Mt. Aloysius academy, Cresson, and the groom is a graduate of the Altoona High school and a veteran of the European and Pacific areas in World war II.
