All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ Hollidaysburg Couple Wed Fifty Years Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Barr of 222 Beaver street, Hollidaysburg, celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary on Sunday, Aug. 27, at their home. A surprise dinner party for seventy-five persons was held in the evening, among those present being the couple's six children, twenty grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Four grandsons in the armed services were absent. Throughout the day, friends and neighbors wished Mr. and Mrs. Barr many more years of happiness. Miss Laura Belle Casner and Theodore Barr were united in marriage in Hollidaysburg on Aug. 27, 1894. Nine children were born to the union, six of whom are living. They include John Barr, Mrs. Emma Murphy and Mrs. Barbara Ott, all of Hollidaysburg; Mrs. Mary Zink of Canton, Ohio; Mrs. Hilda Mickel of Lakemont, and Mrs. Edith West of Indianapolis, Ind. Out-of-town guests at the celebration included the following: Mr. and Mrs. Zink of Canton, Ohio; Mrs. West, and Barbara Joan of Indianapolis; Ira Nowery of Nescopeck, Pa., Miss Nellie Broadt of Bloomsburg, Pa; C.
