Nunzio Battaglio and Miss Arcangela Fiore, both Italians, were married at 6:30 o'clock Sunday evening, at the Sacred Heart church, Rev. Father T. P. Smith officiating. The bride is one of the most intelligent and handsome Italian women in the city. She is a daughter of the shoemaker who committed suicide at the home, Ninth avenue, some five years ago. About two months ago her mother married again, and it was her step-father's brother, that Arcangela chose as her husband. Mr. and Mrs. Battaglio will reside at 814 Seventeenth street, where they will open a fruit store in a week or two. Altoona Mirror, Tuesday, September 5, 1899, page 8
