Yesterday evening a wedding took place on Walnut street, the happy bride being Miss Sarah Rudel, daughter of John Rudel, Esq., one of Hollidaysburg's oldest citizens, and the groom being Mr. William Baxmyer, of Pittsburgh, South Side. The ceremony was performed by Rev. D. L. Ryder, pastor of the Lutheran Church. The wedding was a very quiet one, only a few acquaintances and old schoolmates being present. The bride wore a very neatly made dress of garnet silk and satin. She was made the recipient of many beautiful and useful presents. The repast that the wedding party sat down to was of the best and most delicious delicacies and viands. The evening was passed in a very pleasant manner, and at a late hour the bride and groom drove to Altoona and left on the train for Pittsburgh, where they will make their future home. We wish Mr. Baxmyer and his bride a happy and pleasant journey through life with its many trials and cares. Morning Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Friday, December 5, 1879
