A Pleasant Social Event in Logan Township.

  On November 14, 1855, Mr. Albert Beck and Miss Endress were united in 
the holy bonds of matrimony, and on Sunday they celebrated the twenty-
fifth anniversary of that happy event by entertaining a number of their 
friends with true German hospitality, at their dairy farm in Pleasant 
Valley.  The banquet table, which was spread early in the afternoon, 
groaned beneath the weight of the most tempting delicacies and 
substantials, and was partaken of with a keen relish by all the guests.  
The company was made up of the following ladies and gentlemen: Mr. 
Thos. McKiernan and wife, Mr. David Bell and wife, Mr. Joseph Tuefel 
and wife, Mr. Rudolph Farabaugh and wife, Mr. John Templeton and wife, 
Mr. Hanford Powell and wife, Mr. Martin Hoelle and wife, Mr. William 
Hampton and wife, Mr. Voght and wife, Mr. John Kline and mother, Mrs. 
Springer, of Hollidaysburg, the Misses Templeton, of Collinsville, Mr. 
Frank Endress and a representative of the TRIBUNE.  A number of very 
valuable presents were made to the host and hostess, including a 
handsome silver watch.  The day was spent pleasantly and the guests 
were overwhelmed with the genial hospitality extended to them.  Mr. and 
Mrs. Beck are deservedly popular and have a host of friends and 
acquaintances who will wish them health and prosperity and many returns 
of their wedding anniversary.
