A very pretty wedding was solemnized at the home of Mr. and Mrs. T. Allen Coleman of Puffer, Alta., Canada, Dec. 28, at high noon, when their daughter, Miss Alfarata M., was united in marriage to James Black, formerly a soldier of the British army, also residing in Puffer, in the presence of the immediate relatives. Miss Hetty Coleman, sister of the bride, acted as bridesmaid while the bridegroom was supported by his brother, Mr. John Black. The bride, who wore a gown of navy chiffon satin, was presented by the bridegroom with an expensive set of fox furs, his gift to the bridesmaid being a dainty gold brooch set with pearls. Following the ceremony an elaborate dinner was served, after which the young couple drove to their newly furnished home a few miles from that of the bride's parents. The bride and her parents with other members of the family were former residents of this section, having lived on the Coleman farm west of East Juniata until a few years ago when they went to the northwest.
