All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ BONSELL - SMITH A beautiful military wedding ceremony was solemnized at the Norfolk army base chapel, Norfolk, Va., Sept. 9, when Miss Louise Smith, daughter of Mrs. Bessie Smith of 966 Pennsylvania avenue, Tyrone, became the bride of Pvt. James Bonsell. Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. James Bonsell of Orchard Crossing, with Chaplain Fred H. Heathers officiating. The happy couple was attended by Miss Lorma Smith of Tyrone, sister of the bride, as maid of honor and Pvt. Harold Marks of the Norfolk post as best man. Cpl. Alice Schott, WAC, also of the post played the traditional wedding marches. The chapel was made beautiful with ferns and white flowers. The bride looked lovely in a gold dress with luggage tan accessories. The maid of honor wore an aqua dress with brown accessories and both carried prayer books showered with a corsage of white roses. Following the ceremony the Bridal party was accompanied in the staff car to the Service club where a reception was tendered. Out of town guests included Mrs. Willard Devine of Bloomington, Ill., Mrs. Joseph Holmes of New York city and Mr. and Mrs. James Bonsell, Sr., of Orchard Crossing. The newlyweds have taken up housekeeping at 600 West Thirty-fourth street, Norfolk, Va. Altoona Mirror, Altoona, Pa., Thursday, September 14, 1944
