Boring Married Twenty-five Years Today Mr. and Mrs. Howard C. Boring, of 2120 Fifth avenue, will today receive the congratulations of their many intimate friends on the celebration of their silver wedding anniversary. Twenty-five years ago the Rev. R. E. Wilson, pastor of Simpson Methodist Episcopal church, spoke the words that united Mr. Howard C. Boring and Miss Alice May Ainsworth. Since then their life has been passed in the Sixth ward, where they are held in high esteem and respect by those who share their acquaintance. Mr. Boring is a well known Pittsburg division engineer, having been advanced to that position since his marriage. He has not been in good health since last fall and recently he went to Philadelphia, where he entered the University of Pennsylvania hospital to undergo treatment. On account of the absence and illness the celebration of the anniversary, as had been planned by the couple and their family, was postponed. The best wishes of many friends and acquaintances are theirs for the future. Altoona Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Saturday Morning, February 17, 1917 THIS DATE 25 YEARS AGO Mr. Howard C. Boring and Miss Alice May Ainsworth, both of the city, the former being a Pittsburg division fireman, were wedded by Rev. R. E. Wilson, of Simpson Methodist Episcopal church.
