Hiney, daughter of C. W. Hiney, sr., 615 Fourteenth street, and Corporal William McKelvey Briner, whose local address is 604 Fourteenth street, were united in marriage yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the parsonage of the Eighth avenue Methodist Episcopal church by the Rev. Boggs. The attendants were Miss Helen C. Fenstermacher of Altoona and Corporal Robert W. Carrier, formerly of Ludington, Mich., but now in the aviation service at Washington, D.C. The bride is one of Altoona's popular young ladies and was an operator for the Bell Telephone company. Corporal Briner is a son of Mr. and Mrs. C. G. Briner, and previous to his enlistment almost a year ago, was employed by the Pennsylvania railroad company in the signal department at the Twelfth street offices, and is now in the Aviation corps at Anacostia, D.C. He was granted a furlough until Sunday when he returns to Washington, recently having been honored as one of seven men selected out of the entire corps for special service. During her husband's term of service the bride will make her home with her parents and parents-in-law. Altoona Times, Altoona, Pa., Saturday Morning, November 30, 1918
