Mr. Charles Burkhart, of 2302 Third avenue, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Burkhart, and Miss Alga Nearhood, of 528 Crawford avenue, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Nearhood, were united in marriage at the home of the bride's parents on Thursday evening at 8:30 o'clock by the Rev. I. E. Dubs Stover, pastor of the First United Evangelical church, the impressive ring ceremony being used. The couple were attended by Mr. Oscar and Miss Ida Burkhart, brother and sister of the groom. The bride was attired in a beautiful gown of white crepe de chine, and carried a beautiful bouquet of white roses. About fifty of the immediate members and friends of the two families witnessed the nuptials. A reception and sumptuous dinner followed the ceremony, during which time an orchestra rendered a number of popular selections. The couple received many handsome and useful gifts, such as a bed-room suit, cut glass, silverware and linens. The bridegroom is employed at the Pennsylvania railroad machine shop. He is a young man of ability and has a bright future before him. The bride is a popular young lady, accomplished, and held in high esteem by all who know her. The couple will reside with the bride's parents at 523 Crawford avenue. A host of admiring friends will join in wishing them happiness and success.
