CAMPBELL - IRWIN - At the residence of the bride's parents, on the 7th inst., by Rev. D. H. Campbell, assisted by Rev. Joseph Mathers, Mr. James B. Campbell to Miss Jessie K. Irwin, all of Antis township. AFFAIR HYMENEAL. The youth, beauty and elite of Antis township and Pleasant Valley, together with a few friends from Altoona, assembled by invitation at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Irvin, near Bllewood [sic], Thursday afternoon, to witness the marriage ceremonies of their young and handsome daughter, Jessie, to Mr. James B. Campbell, of Davidsburg. The party entered the parlor preceded by Miss Dora Irvin and Mr. Frank Glasgow, Miss Lou Irvin and Mr. Henry Henshey, lady and gentlemen attendants of the bride and groom. The ceremony was performed by Rev. D. H. Campbell, assisted by Rev. J. H. Mathers. The bride and bridesmaids were dress in dark brown, the bride in her traveling suit, her hair trimmed with orange flowers and having a silk lace pointed tie tastefully arranged around her throat, the whole admirably becoming her fresh, sweet face. Quite a large number of presents were given, consisting of silver ware, table linen, glass ware and ornaments. The happy couple left on the evening express for Philadelphia and the east. Without doubt every person present, on leaving the hospitable home of the bride's father, felt the warm good wishes expressed, and we may only add our earnest hope that the pathway of the bride and groom may be that of happiness, peace and plenty. We would add further, privately, that any young friends of Dr. Clark, before fully arranging for their marriage festivities, had better secure his services as charge d'affaires, for he certainly graces that office on such occasions admirably.
