Last evening at 7.30 o'clock at St. Mark's church Mr. J. J. Carlin, of this city, and Miss Bessie Kelly, daughter of Mr. William F. Kelly, of 706 Eleventh street, were united in the holy bonds of matrimony by Rev. Father N. J. O'Reilly. Miss Minnie Carlin, a sister of the groom, and Mr. Vincent Kelly, a brother of the bride, were the attendants. The ceremony was performed in the presence of the friends and relatives of both families. After the marriage the wedding party was driven to Seventh avenue and Twentieth street, where a new home, ready furnished for occupancy and decorated in honor of the occasion with palms, ferns and flowers, was taken possession of by Mr. and Mrs. Carlin and a reception was given to quite a large party of their friends. The presents received by the bride were both numerous and handsome. On Pacific express this morning at 8 o'clock Mr. and Mrs. Carlin will start on a two weeks trip to Oil City. On their return they will go to housekeeping at once. The groom is an employe of the Pennsylvania Railroad company, and boarded at the company farm house below First street.
