W. Seedenburg, of East Allegheny street, when their oldest daughter, Miss Kathryn Elizabeth, was united in marriage with Mr. Lloyd K. Carper, of Roaring Spring. The ceremony was performed by the bride’s pastor, Rev. W. H. Snyder, using the impressive ring ceremony of the Church of God faith. The wedding guests included only the immediate members of the family. Promptly at 12 o’clock, while the wedding march from Lohenghrin was being rendered by Miss Helen Hartman, cousin of the bride, the bridal pair appeared. They were attended by Miss Elizabeth Treesh, of Cresson, an intimate friend of the bride, and Mr. David Wareham, of Martinsburg, as best man. The bride was beautifully arrayed in a white satin and georgette gown and carried a shower bouquet of bride’s roses. The bridesmaid was attired in a handsome pink crepe de chine gown and carried a bouquet of pink roses. Following the ceremony a wedding dinner was served to the guests. A color scheme of pink and white was carried out with splendid effect in the table decorations. The bride is a graduate of the Martinsburg High school, class of 1919, also of the Morrison Cove Vocational high school, and has been engaged in teaching. The bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Carper, of Roaring Spring, and is one of the Cove’s energetic young farmers. The happy couple left by motor on a ten days’ trip which will include Gettysburg, Washington, D.C., Maryland, Philadelphia and Atlantic City. Their best of friends unite in wishing them a long and happy wedded life. Martinsburg Herald, August 25, 1922
