CARTER - EVANS.

  Yesterday afternoon, at the home of the bride's parents in Roaring 
Spring, J. W. Carter, D.D.S., was married to Miss Eva Evans, daughter 
of J. C. Evans.  The ceremony was performed by Rev. E. H. Whitman, 
pastor of Roaring Spring Methodist church, in the presence of the 
immediate friends of the contracting parties.  The bride and groom came 
to this city last evening.  Dr. Carter resides at 809 Twenty-second 
street, and is associated with Dr. Livingston in conducting the dental 
rooms at 702 Twelfth street.  He is an exemplary young gentleman, well 
skilled in his profession and has a prosperous career ahead of him.  
His bride is a charming young lady and has many friends at her late 
home and in the city.  The Mirror extends congratulations.
