Morning Tribune, Friday, October 27, 1899 CHRISTY - CAMPBELL. An exceedingly pretty autumn wedding was solemnized on Wednesday evening at the residence of the late Mr. Cornelius Campbell, 1214 Eighth avenue, when his youngest daughter - Miss Elizabeth Seabrook Campbell - became the wife of Mr. James Hewitt Christy, of Hollidaysburg, Pa. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Henry Howard Stiles, of the Second Presbyterian church. The maid of honor was Miss Humes, of Altoona, and the best man, Mr. S. Royer Dibert, of Hollidaysburg. The house was prettily decorated with palms, pink and white chrysanthemums. The bride wore a gown of heavy white satin, trimmed with lace and orange blossoms, and carried white chrysanthemums. Miss Humes was gowned in a dainty white organdie and valencienes over pink satin, carrying a bouquet of pink chrysanthemums, tied with long, flowing pink ribbons. The bridal party entered the drawing room to the strains of the bridal chorus from Lohengrin. Following the ceremony the young couple received the congratulations and kindly wishes of a large number of friends and after a wedding supper left on a late train on their wedding journey.
