Our Roaring Spring correspondent sends the following: John J. Cramer and Miss Minnie M. Carper, two of Roaring Spring's most popular young people, were quietly married at the bride's home on South Main street, at 6 o'clock Thursday evening, Rev. J. E. Detter, pastor of the Church of God, officiating. Only the members of the immediate family and Mrs. Detter were witnesses. The bride is the accomplished daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Carper, and sister of Edward and William Carper, who compose the firm of Carper Brothers, one of the town's most flourishing general stores. The groom, a trusted employe of the Blank Book factory and president of the borough council, is one of our most progressive citizens. Both he and his bride figure prominently in all charitable and social activities of the town and community. The young couple left immediately after the ceremony in Mr. Carper's touring car for Altoona, where they later in the evening took a train for Atlantic City and other eastern cities. Upon their return they will, for the present, reside with the bride's parents. A host of friends join with us in wishing these newlyweds a most happy and prosperous life of connubial bliss.
