A large party, numbering about sixty persons, assembled at 7 o'clock on Wednesday evening last at the residence of James McQuade, Esq., in Sinking Valley, to witness the marriage of his handsome daughter Laura with that very worthy gentleman, Mr. Warren Crawford. The party was a most recherche affair, and the ceremony passed off happily, the nuptial knot being tied by Rev. Mr. Cole. The ladies looked their prettiest in their handsome costumes. At half past seven o'clock, after the marriage rite had been solemnized, an elegant supper was served to the guests, and the joyous party lingered around the tables and in the spacious parlors until half past ten o'clock. The bride received a large number of handsome presents, among which are the following, with the names of the givers: Full set of dishes, Miss Margaret McQuade; silver cake basket, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Robeson; silver syrup pitcher, Mr. and Mrs. D. G. McCullough; half dozen goblets, Miss Bell Miller; set of glass ware, Wm. Garland; silver cake basket, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. McCullough; one dozen solid silver teaspoons, Mr. and Mrs. D. E. Robeson; half-dozen silver forks, Mr. and Mrs. J. Gorsuch; one dozen silver knives, Mr. and Mrs. Cal Stewart; one castor, Warren Crawford; silver cream pitcher, Mr. and Mrs. J. B. McCullough; silver card receiver, Mr. and Mrs. John G. Waite; half-dozen silver teaspoons, Miss Ann Dysart; silver butter knife, Miss Ann Dysart; table linen, Mrs. R. C. Galbraith; wine et, Mr. R. C.
