A Golden Wedding.

  Mr. and Mrs. Martin L. Walter, of Union street, are in receipt of 
cards announcing the golden wedding celebration of Mr. and Mrs. Robert 
S. Cunning, that took place at their home at San Bernardino, Cal., on 
Thursday, February 6.  Mrs. Cunning was formerly Miss Maria B. Hammond, 
of Etna, Blair county, and the pair were married on February 5, 1867, 
at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Cunning, at 
that place.  The wedding was a large one and a notable social event.  
The bride and groom were attended by Mr. and Mrs. Walter, the latter 
then being Miss Mary E. Donnelly.  The Cunnings have been in the west 
for the past forty years, first going to Kansas and later to 
California.  Mr. and Mrs. Walter have not heard from them for some time 
and were very much pleased to learn of their fiftieth wedding 
anniversary and that they are enjoying good health and are living a 
successful and happy life in the golden west.
