Davis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Davis, of 1421 Twelfth avenue, and Miss Nancy E. Lytle, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. M. E. Lytle, of 1313 Sixteenth avenue, were united in marriage last evening at 6.30 o'clock at the home of the bride's parents. The ceremony was performed by Rev. J. W. Bain, pastor of the First Presbyterian church. There was no bridesmaid of groomsman and only the near relatives and a few friends were present. The home was handsomely decorated with cut flowers, ferns and daisies. After a reception and dinner Mr. and Mrs. Davis left on Philadelphia express for a wedding trip to Asbury Park, New York city and up the Hudson. They will be absent two weeks and on their return will go to housekeeping in a newly furnished home at 1208 Third avenue. Mr. Davis is a machinist under Foreman Joseph White and enjoys the reputation of being an industrious and well-to-do young man. His wife graduated from the Altoona high school in the class of ? and taught successfully in the public schools of the city last year.
